Jacqui’s love for the Arts began as a child. Reciting poetry for fun, she learnt phonetics from a young age and completed many years of Speech and Drama. Her love continued into her adulthood where she completed a Diploma of Music Theatre and Commercial Dance followed by her dream course, a Bachelor of Music Theatre at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music.

It was here where she blossomed in performance, finding her voice in a theatrical and personal sense. Upon graduation she was lucky enough to perform nationally and internationally. Her most memorable stage credit was her appearance in RENT at the Brisbane Powerhouse where she played Mimi Marquez. It was in this performance which created a buzz in the public, describing the performance as,

Thrilling, harrowing, menacing and time stopped. I would like to take a moment to thank Mclaren...for this

This propelled Jacqui into such roles as Wendla Bergmann in Underground Broadway’s Spring Awakening and more.

Her most recent endeavours have placed her in the radio industry voicing for various clients including NOVA 106.9, the Queensland Government and Coles Radio as well as performing at BrisFest and QPAC.

Jacqui is also a qualified Journalist, runs her own digital media company, McLaren Creative and is in the midst of completing her Masters in Communications, majoring in Digital Media and Journalism.
